Most Picture Keeper drives are formatted as FAT32. FAT32 is the format with the widest support across phones, computers, TVs, and other devices, but it has one limit: no single file can be larger than 4 GB. A very long or very high-resolution video can exceed that, and the app has to skip it during backup.
The newer exFAT format has no such limit, and most devices in use today support it. If you regularly record very large videos, our support team can walk you through reformatting your Picture Keeper to exFAT. Reformatting erases everything on the drive, so it is best done on a new drive, or after your files are safely copied elsewhere.
