The monthly reminder emails come from the Monthly Backup Reminder Service. It is an opt-in mailing list: you get a reminder each month because that address was signed up for it, and you can stop the emails from any of them.
Starting the reminders
Sign up on the Picture Keeper Backup Reminders page. The form asks for one thing, an email address, and we send a monthly email to that address to help you stay backed up.
The reminders are not automatic, and they are not tied to owning a drive. If they are arriving, it is because that address was signed up to receive them.
How to recognise the email
A reminder arrives once a month. A recent one had the subject Monthly Reminder: Time to Backup Your Picture Keeper and came from Picture Keeper <no-reply@picturekeeper.com>.
Receiving them at a different address
Sign up again on the same page, this time with the address you would rather use. If you no longer want the reminders at the old address, unsubscribe from that one using the link in an email already sent there.
Stopping the reminders
Every reminder email carries View in Browser, Manage Preferences, Privacy Policy and Unsubscribe links in its footer. Open any reminder you have received, go to the bottom of it, and use Unsubscribe.
The reminders are separate from your account and your drive
The reminder emails are a mailing list, separate from your Picture Keeper account and from the app. Signing up, moving the reminders to another address, or unsubscribing changes nothing about your Picture Keeper drive, your Picture Keeper account, or your backups. Unsubscribing stops the emails only, and leaves everything you have already backed up exactly as it is.
If you have any trouble with your backup reminder emails, contact us and we will be happy to help.
