As you may already know, you can connect your Google Photos account to your Picture Keeper within the app on Android, Mac, and Windows devices. This allows you to include these photos in your Picture Keeper backup. If at any time you'd like to disconnect your Google account, you can easily do this from within the Picture Keeper app on any of the aforementioned device types. Below, we'll go over the steps to remove your Picture Keeper's access to your Google Photos account. First, make sure your Picture Keeper app is up to date.
Please note: Only your Picture Keeper drive and any connected personal device(s) are able to access your Google account. Picture Keeper does not have access to any of your personal information.
REMOVE ACCESS FROM ANDROID APP
- Open the app and connect your Picture Keeper Connect to your Android phone
- Tap Show Backup Options on the Home screen
- Tap Disconnect from Google Photos at the bottom
- You should see "Disconnected from Google Photos" appear momentarily at the bottom
REMOVE ACCESS FROM DESKTOP APP
- Connect your Picture Keeper Connect to your computer and open the app
- Click Disconnect from Google Photos on the Home screen
REMOVE ACCESS FROM GOOGLE ACCOUNT
If for any reason you have trouble removing access via the mobile or desktop apps, you can quickly remove all access from within your Google account.
- Using a trusted device, go to myaccount.google.com/permissions and sign in to your Google account.
- On the "Third-party apps & services" screen, click the arrow > to the right of "Picture Keeper"
- Locate the "Picture Keeper has some access to your Google Account" section, and click See details
- Click Remove Access at the bottom right
- Click Confirm to remove Picture Keeper's access to your Google account
