In some rare cases, Picture Keeper Pro SSD may not be detected by the device you're connecting it to. Fortunately, there's a pretty easy fix in most of these cases. The actual drive that stores your files is contained within a plastic enclosure. Sometimes, the drive may lose connection to this enclosure, so even as your drive is physically plugged in to your phone or computer, it may not be detected. This enclosure can easily be opened, so you can unplug the drive and plug it back in. This is called a "reseat," and you can follow the steps below for help completing this process:
- Turn your Picture Keeper Pro over, so you can see the back:
- Press in and out to pop the cover out, just like a TV remote's battery cover:
- Slide the cover all the way off:
- Lift up slightly to pop the drive out of place, and then pull it out the same direction as the cover:
- Pull the drive all the way out:
- Line the drive back up in the same orientation, and push forward to plug it back in:
- Press down to click the drive back into place:
- Click the cover back into place:
- Give your Picture Keeper another try! For more help, here's a video tutorial.
