This guide will show you how to reformat your Picture Keeper using a USB-C model iPhone or iPad. A reformat will completely erase your Picture Keeper, along with the backup records in the app, and can be used to correct software issues that a normal reset was unable to resolve. Follow the steps below for help reformatting your Picture Keeper:

Open the Files app:
- Tap Browse
at the bottom right until you see the Locations section:
- Tap and hold PKBACKUP and then tap Erase when prompted:
- Tap Erase two more times:
- You should see PKBACKUP disappear briefly, and then reappear:
- Open the PK Connect app
and tap Settings
at the bottom right:
- Tap Advanced Options at the bottom:
- Tap Reset Drive toward the bottom:
- Tap Factory Reset:
- Tap Continue on the prompt:
- When asked to enter your name, instead type format2, and then tap Continue:
- Tap Continue once more to proceed with the reformat:
