This guide will show you how to download and open the Picture Keeper app on your Windows computer. There are a few options for using the app, so we'll go over each below. If you're using an older version of Windows, you may need Option 2 or Option 3. For the vast majority of users, however, Option 1 is likely all you'll need.
OPTION 1: INSTALLING FROM THE MICROSOFT APP STORE
This version of the Picture Keeper app works with Windows 10 or higher. Follow the steps below to get started:
- Click this link to open the Microsoft App Store to the Picture Keeper app page.
- Click Get:
- Wait for the app to install:
- Click Open:
- If prompted, click Pin to Start to make the app easy to find from your Start Menu on next use:
- Once you're in the app, use the App Setup guide linked at the top.
OPTION 2: USING THE APP INSTALLED ON THE PICTURE KEEPER
This version of the Picture Keeper app works with Windows 7 or higher. If you're running Windows 8 or earlier, or you had trouble installing the Microsoft App Store version, follow the steps below to get started:

Click the File Explorer
icon in your taskbar to open a File Explorer window.
- Click PKBACKUP on the left:
- Double-click LaunchPictureKeeper to open the app:
- Once you're in the app, use the App Setup guide linked at the top.
OPTION 3: USING PICTURE KEEPER V4 FOR XP AND VISTA
This version of the Picture Keeper app works with Windows XP and Vista. Follow the steps below to get started:

icon in your taskbar to open a File Explorer window.
- Click PKBACKUP on the left:
- Double-click to open the "Picture Keeper" folder:
- Scroll down and double-click PictureKeeperV4 to open the app:
