Picture Keeper can sometimes run into an issue while trying to back up the files you have stored in iCloud. In these cases, it can often help to re-sync these files to your Mac before attempting another backup. This guide will show you how to re-sync your iCloud Photos. First, make sure you're on the latest available version of macOS, then follow the steps below:
- Open the Photos app
- Click Photos at the top left by the Apple icon, and then click Settings...
- Click iCloud at the top of the Settings window
- Uncheck the box next to iCloud Photos
- When prompted, click Remove from Mac twice (don't worry, this will only remove photos from your Mac that are stored in your iCloud account -- we'll sync them back later!)
- Wait ~30 minutes for iCloud to fully remove all of your synced photos from your Mac
- Check the box next to iCloud Photos again
- Wait ~30 minutes for iCloud to fully sync your photos back to your iPhone
- Return to the Picture Keeper app, and click Start Backup
