When you make a backup to your Picture Keeper, the PK Connect app retains a record of the files that were backed up. This allows you to resume your backup, using either the same Picture Keeper, or a new Picture Keeper when your first runs out of storage. Clone Backup tells Picture Keeper to ignore these backup records, and instead restart the backup from the beginning. This guide will show you how to enable Clone Backup. First, connect your Picture Keeper to your iPhone or iPad, then follow the steps below:
- Open the PK Connect app
- Tap Settings at the bottom right
- Tap Advanced Options at the bottom
- Tap the toggle to the right of Clone Backup to enable it
- Tap Home at the bottom left
- Tap Start Backup
* Be sure to allow the backup finish, or it will start again from the beginning on next attempt
* Clone Backup will turn off by default after one backup, even if the backup was incomplete
* Clone Backup will not result in duplicates, but will take longer to run than a normal backup
